National & Lancashire Breastfeeding Week 2018

This year, the Lancashire infant feeding leads have been working on a  co-ordinated programme to celebrate breastfeeding across the county in the week 24th to 30th June. As it happens, this coincides with the recently announced Public Health England Breastfeeding Celebration Week, 25th to 29th June.

On the Fylde Coast we have an event every day Mon 25th to Fri 29th, and we’d love to see you there! The usual breastfeeding groups have special topics at their sessions in St Annes on Monday and South Shore on Friday, and we have arranged three other special events on the Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th, as follows:

Monday – 10-11.30am – BfN Breastfeeding Group, Oak Tree Children’s Centre, St Annes

Tuesday – 5-6pm – Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Celebration Event, Mezzanine Floor, Main Entrance, Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Wednesday – 10-11am – Gathering, to recognise breastfeeding as an important public health issue, Bickerstaffe Square (opposite North Station, outside council offices) Blackpool

Thursday – 2-3pm – Community Support Celebration Event, Tea & Tumbles, Heys St, Thornton Cleveleys

Friday – 10-12 noon – LLL Breastfeeding Group, St Cuthbert’s Children’s Centre, South Shore Blackpool

And here are the themes for each of the days, which will be shared across the county, and online using the hashtag #BreastfeedInLancs
